Alive!

We got an unexpected day off yesterday because of the snow. At 7:00 yesterday morning, I jumped on Samuel's bed to tell him. We were both pretty happy to not have to go to "work". He was in a great mood all day. We had his 6th year check up yesterday. He has gained 11 pounds in a year! He is in the 77th percentile for both height and weight. Not a little runt anymore! I really think having his tonsils out has been the reason.

On our way to the doctor, he asked,
"Mom, do some days you feel more alive?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, today, I don't feel sick, nothing itches(he always seems to have poison ivy...), no school, sun is shining. I just feel so alive!"
