Can we trick or treat now?
No, when it gets dark.
But it is dark.
I mean night time dark. After dinner.
Can I go to my school yet?
It's too early.
Can I have some candy?
Not yet.
Can I put on my Batman costume?
Sure!

It's going to be a long day. Samuel has been anticipating this day for a long time. He got to wear his costume to school this morning and was thrilled. What could be better than that? I feel for the teachers. I saw the cupcakes, candy, juice, and chocolate pretzels for the party. It's going to be a long day.

I took a video of the parade. He thought it was the greatest. They walked through the church offices and back. One video of them walking there and the other one, walking back. Not very exciting but Samuel looked like he thought he was a movie star.

Gabrielle is home. She's happy to be in her own bed. We had a great talk on the way back. She really seemed to listen and be receptive. It's going to be a long process.

I'll post tomorrow about our trick or treat experience. It's going to be a long, sugar loaded, day. Good thing it only happens once a year.
